Annual Town Meeting includes proposed fireworks ordinance and excise tax exemption for military personnel

This year's meeting will be on July 25 at 7 PM at the TC Hamlin School.  The entire budget for the town will be discussed and voted on by the residents.  There are over 40 articles for consideration.  One of them is a proposed fireworks ordinance as attached below.  It is a "tweaked" version of Farmingdale's and only covers the USE of them and not the SALE of them.  Users will face tighter restrictions than state law.  It's important to understand that state law now allows the use of fireworks by residents and property owners who are 21+ years old and within specific time periods.  A Town ordinance can provide further restrictions for better enforcement.
